On July 19, 2017 the U.S. Department of Homeland Security and Transport Canada implemented enhanced security measures for all flights departing Canada. Additional measures were implemented for all flights bound for the United States.
The new security measures include enhanced overall screening at departure airports, heightened inspection of personal electronic devices including tablets and laptops and increased security protocols at departure airports. This may affect the time it takes you to get through security and board their flight.
If you are flying to the U.S., we encourage you to arrive at the airport a minimum of two hours prior to your scheduled departure, to allow for additional screening time and ensure you don’t miss your flight.
- Please allow for additional time to get through security.
- Remove your personal electronic device from its case prior to entering the security line. This is a recommendation for all flights departing Canada.
We appreciate your patience and understanding while these new measures are implemented.
